Valerie courageously joined the Empower Program in 2013 after the birth of her ninth child, seeking to grow deeper in her walk with Christ and lead others with confidence. As a graduate, she remains connected to a strong network of leaders who support her ongoing ministry to women. Valerie now serves with Empower as the EmpowerOne Coordinator. A church planter in South Jersey and involved in international missions, she brings passion and experience to everything she does. Valerie is a gifted speaker and teacher who loves helping women embrace their God-given callings and grow in their faith.. Valerie is deeply committed to seeing women rise in their purpose and calling.

EmpowerEngage Coordinator

Alicia Moroney participated in EmpowerOne during 2018–2019 alongside a group of women in Palestine, deepening her commitment to ministry and personal growth. She went on to earn her MA in Mental Health Counseling and spent several years serving as an international worker in both Palestine and Spain. Currently, Alicia serves as an assistant pastor, where she focuses on mentoring women and engaging her community in creative and meaningful ways, both locally and globally. Married for 16 years, Alicia and her husband are raising four energetic children. She finds joy in the outdoors, especially hiking and exploring nature, which helps her stay grounded and refreshed. A creative at heart, Alicia also enjoys experimental crafting, often using unconventional tools—like a hairdryer on canvas—to create unique pieces of art. Her passion for people, creativity, and cross-cultural ministry continues to shape her journey as a leader, mentor, and advocate for spiritual growth.

EmpowerProclaim Coordinator

Sandy became the first live-stream student at Empower in 2016, marking the beginning of a transformative journey. As a woman in ministry, Empower played a vital role in her personal growth, particularly in the areas of soul care and spiritual freedom. In 2017, she launched the San Jose live-stream site, where she has since seen many lives changed within her local church community. Sandy is passionate about equipping and developing bold, Christ-centered leaders across all generations. Her heart is to see people rise up as confident ambassadors for Jesus. Outside of ministry, Sandy enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, sipping coffee with her husband, and sharing laughter and life with her four daughters

Administrative Coordinator

Laura Tonra took EmpowerOne in 2014 and has remained actively connected to the program ever since. Passionate about helping women discover and live out their God-given callings, she uses her gifts in administration and technology to support the ministry. Laura played a key role in developing Empower’s virtual platform, making the program accessible to women around the world. Deeply involved in her local church, Laura serves alongside her husband as a pastor’s wife, discipling women through every stage of life. Professionally, she is a corporate executive, bringing leadership and insight to both ministry and the marketplace. Laura is also a devoted mother to six teenagers and adult children. Her heart for at-risk youth and desire to see lives transformed by Christ led her on a powerful journey—adopting four of her children from foster care. Empower helped launch Laura into a life of purpose, impact, and faithful obedience.
