Dr. Wanda Walborn
Professor:
 Cultivating a Listening Ear and
Obstacles to Intimacy with Christ

Wanda received her B.S. in Education from Nyack College, an M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary and D.Int.St. from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Prior to her employment at Nyack College, Wanda was a church planter with her husband, a stay-at-home mother for their four children and a reading curriculum developer for the Connecticut public school system. Wanda is currently the Director of Spiritual Formation at Nyack College and the Director of Empower.

Dr. Ron Walborn
Professor:
 Jesus as Sanctifier and Healer & Spiritual Gifts

Dr. Ron Walborn is the Vice President and Dean of Alliance Theological Seminary and Nyack College in Nyack NY, New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Dr. Walborn also serves on the Board of Directors for the Christian and Missionary Alliance and was recently re-elected to another four year term. He has a B.A. in History from Nyack College, an M.Div. from Alliance Theological Seminary and a D.Min from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Walborn has pastored churches in Connecticut and California. He has authored one book and numerous articles and chapters for other publications. Dr. Walborn was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and is a life-long, die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan! Ron and his wife Wanda have four adult children and two beautiful grandchildren.

Michelle Park
Professor: Dealing with Conflict

Michelle Park holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling. She works with individuals, couples and families on a broad range of topics, some of which include anxiety, depression, boundaries, conflict resolution, communication, affair recovery, grief, life transitions, parenting and post-abortive issues. She is a seminar director for the Prepare-Enrich Assessment and is a Gottman 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work Educator. She is also an adjunct professor for the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in Nyack, NY for their Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Michelle and her husband, Sam, have planted a church in Queens with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, where her husband is lead pastor.

Rev. Kelvin Walker
Professor: Identifying & Healing Family Wounds with Cultivating Soul Care as a Leader

Rev. Kelvin Walker currently serves as lead pastor of Bedford Community Church, in Bedford Hills, NY. Prior to becoming the lead pastor at Bedford, Kelvin served on staff at churches in Girard, PA, Virginia Beach, VA, Pittsburgh, PA, and most recently as the Campus Pastor at the Rockland campus of Nyack College. He is in his second term as a member of the C&MA Board of Directors, and was recently elected to another 2-year term as president of the Association of African American Pastors, Consecrated Women, and Licensed Workers of the C&MA. Locally, he serves as the corporate secretary of the Emergency Shelter Partnership of Westchester, and as one of the chaplains for the Katonah Volunteer Fire Department. 

Rev. Charles Galbreath
Professor: Spiritual Gifts

Rev. Charles Galbreath serves as the Senior Pastor of Clarendon Road Church (CRC) in Brooklyn, New York. He is the Director of Field Education and an Adjunct Professor at Alliance Theological Seminary in New York City. He currently serves on Brooklyn Borough President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Community Partnerships. 

 

Dr. Ingrid Davis
Professor: Community and Mission of the Church

Dr. Ingrid Davis is a Certified Leadership Coach. She has her BS in Education, an MA in Intercultural Studies, and a D.Min in Global Leadership. As a former International Worker with the C&MA in Mali, W. Africa, Ingrid has a heart to develop other women who will be a part of God’s restoration project.  She loves to see Empower women who are investing in themselves and their development -  to be all that God has created them to be and to then turn around and invest in others. 
 

Dr. Michael Plunket
Professor: Prayer and Intercession

Rev. Michael Plunket is the Senior Pastor of Risen King Alliance Church. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Pastoral Ministry Department at Nyack College in Nyack, New York. Mike earned his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and his D. Min. at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY. Since his ordination in 1986, Mike has organized, helped start, and pastored five churches in Mexico City, Mexico and Atlanta, Georgia. He is also an instructor with College of Prayer International and has led prayer gatherings for ministry leaders in Uganda, Norway and Ecuador. 

Lisa Plunket
Professor: Prayer and Intercession

Mrs. Lisa Plunket is the Pastor of Spiritual Life at Risen King Alliance Church in New City, NY. Lisa studied New Testament Studies and History at Western Kentucky University. She has been mentoring women and teaching Bible studies since she was 19. Prayer and mentoring women is her primary ministry. Lisa is responsible for Growth Groups, Pastoral Care, and Leadership Development at Risen King.

Dr. Martin Sanders
Professor: Understanding your Calling

Dr. Martin Sanders is a mentor, professor, pastor, consultant, author, and speaker. He has spent 30 years developing the leaders around him. Martin has the vision, passion, and skills to see development in leaders at both the local and global levels. For 25 years he has taught, first at Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina, Saskatchewan, and then for 20 years at Alliance Theological Seminary, in Nyack, NY. Martin has more than 12 years of pastoral experience in fast growing, life changing churches in both Canada and the United States as well as two extended intentional interim pastorates in Western Australia.

Dr. Sanders is president and founder of Global Leadership, Inc., a non-profit organization designed to develop the next generation of leaders in under-resourced parts of the world. Through Global Leadership, thousands of leaders have been taken to the next level of effectiveness in their personal and professional lives on every continent.

Dr. Frank Chan
Professor: Old Testament Survey

Frank Chan began teaching at Nyack in 1999 and became Department Head in 2005.  He has a B.A. from Wheaton College, an M.A. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor in Chinese Churches in New York, Philadelpha and Chicago and conducts a robust preaching ministry among Chinese Churches in the Metro area.  He is a licensed worker with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and a leader at Risen King Alliance Church in New City, NY.  He is married to Pauline and has four children.

Dr. Amy Davis Abdallah
Professor: New Testament Survey

Amy F. Davis Abdallah, PhD,  is a wife and mother who writes, teaches, preaches, leads, and mentors in the United States and abroad. Woman, the rite of passage she pioneered, has been transforming and empowering its many participants for several years. In addition to journeying with women, Amy also guides others academically as an Associate Professor of Theology and Bible at Nyack College.

Dr. Rob Reimer
Professor: Jesus as Savior and Coming King

Rev. Dr. Rob Reimer earned a B.A. in English from King’s College, a M. Div. from Alliance Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in Preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was the founding and former lead pastor of South Shore Community Church until June 2017. He is now a professor at Alliance Theological Seminary for the Doctorate of Ministry. Rob is also an accomplished author. His books, Soul Care, Deep Faith, River Dwellers, and Pathways to the King have been sold worldwide. Rob regularly speaks at conferences, leadership retreats, mission fields, churches, and seminaries in the United States and abroad. Rob and his wife, Jen, live in the Nyack, NY area with their four children, Danielle, Courtney, Darcy, and Craig.
